Philip Giordano
President and Founder

Phil provides SFS with an array of financial expertise through his personal and corporate financial experience.  Prior to founding SFS, he began his career in the life settlements market as Managing Director of ClearWater Settlements (CWS), a Life Settlement Provider representing multi-billion dollar investment firms.  His position with CWS primarily entailed developing and maintaining broker and investor relationships, managing deal flow, and legal review/negotiation with funding sources.  Previous to joining CWS, Phil worked for Comerica Bank.  With over $50 billion in assets, Comerica is among the top 20 largest banks in the United States.  Comerica is primarily a business bank focusing on a broad range of industries including textile, manufacturing and technology.  At Comerica, Phil had a wide range of responsibilities including Corporate Banking Officer within the bank’s Technology and Life Sciences Division where he managed a portfolio of over 60 corporate clients (totaling more than $20 million in loans and over $100 million in deposits).  In this position, he developed and maintained relationships with venture capitalists and technology company executives.  During his tenure at Comerica, Phil also successfully launched the bank’s mortgage division in San Diego, California.

Phil is a licensed California insurance agent (license#: 0F35026) and real estate agent (license #: 01779952).  Phil received his B.S. in International Finance from Brigham Young University where he also played football throughout his college education.

 

Joseph D. Giordano:
V.P. Sales & Marketing

Joe brings over 25 years of marketing and sales experience to SFS.  Throughout his professional life, he has founded and successfully sold several companies in the finance, real estate and technology arenas.  Some achievements throughout Joe’s professional career include 8 years of owning and operating Blue Water Security Inc., a multi-million dollar security consulting and distribution enterprise (www.bluewatersecurity.com); 25 years of originating conventional and private money loans in the mortgage industry; and 4 years as a Fee Appraiser evaluating and facilitating more than $100 million in commercial business acquisitions.  He has maintained a California Real Estate Broker License (CA license #: 00766404) for 16 years and in addition to his sales and marketing efforts for SFS, he provides the Company with real estate related expertise when appropriate for seniors.  Throughout his vast professional experiences, he has an extraordinary track record of helping clients achieve their goals and establishing trustworthy business relationships.

D'Ann T. Friend
Operations Manager

D’Ann comes to Senior Financial Solutions, Inc. with an extensive background in Business Process Improvement in the areas of Accounting and Finance. Most recently D’Ann worked as a Senior Accountant at The Governance Institute (TGI). While at the TGI she worked with large clients, and successfully re-designed, and improved unbilled revenue, and compliance processes. The Governance Institute provides essential knowledge and solutions to achieve excellence in non-profit hospital board governance. 

Prior to that D’Ann worked for Supply Pro, Inc. a leader in the automated point-of-use dispensing technology. While at SupplyPro D’Ann worked with Fortune 500 companies and was instrumental in implementing and managing the Revenue Cycle, Contract Management, and Accounts Receivable Department, leading several business process improvement projects focusing on financial close and business controls.  Prior to that D’Ann worked in the Life Insurance industry with King Insurance Services, a life insurance broker with over 30 years of experience.

D’Ann attended San Diego State University, California where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. She is an outdoor enthusiast, and enjoys spending time with her family.

D’Ann is very involved in the community, and has been a mentor with the San Diego Big Brothers, and Big Sister Program since 1998. She has been acknowledged in the community and has received several community awards and recognition.
